The Cool Breeze Story And How It All Started

Cool Breeze Bartending is the most recent venture of Vance “Breeze” Guthrie.  Breeze started his food and beverage career in Orlando at the very popular College Park “Once Upon A Stage “ Dinner Theater.  From there, he went on to work at many other well-known establishments in the Orlando area including Maison et Jardin, Park Plaza Gardens and Townsends Fish House.

Leaving Florida, Breeze decided to further his food & beverage knowledge by attending Cape Fear Community College in Wilmington, N.C. where he was elected Student Government President of the 6,000-plus student college. Loving a challenge, Breeze also coached and played soccer as well as worked full-time as the Bar Manager at Locals Restaurant in Wrightsville Beach.

After graduation, Breeze earned the position of Beverage Manager at the 275-room Hilton Riverside in downtown Wilmington.  Working for The Hilton for more than 6 years, Breeze landed many promotions during his tenure to include Restaurant Manager, Outlet Manager and Banquet Manager.

Breeze’s next promotion found him leaving Wilmington to take the position of Food & Beverage Director of the 200-room “Ocean Plaza Resort” in Tybee Island, G.A. On a visit back to Orlando, Breeze reunited with an old friend (the now Mrs. Guthrie) and found himself once again moving full-circle, back to his hometown of Orlando.
